Fire Crews Respond to Fire at Cheese Factory North of Marshfield
Monday, April 7th, 2014 -- 8:21 AM-Fire crews responded to a fire at the Mullins Cheese Factory just north of Marshfield Sunday afternoon.
The call came in just after 4pm on Sunday and fire departments from Stratford, Hewitt and Spencer responded to the scene. The Marathon County Sheriff?s Department also assisted at the scene.
According to the Sheriff?s Department, there was a fire in the factory located in the mechanical room. The factory was filled with smoke, but the fire was small and the crews had it extinguished within 15 minutes.
No one was injured in the incident and the building was not significantly damaged causing any structure issues.
