Saturday, April 5th, 2014 -- 7:10 AM
Outdoor lovers will get a chance to sound off on a host of issues later this month at the Conservation Congress' annual spring hearings. The hearings will be held on the evening of April 14 at locations around the state.
Participants will elect county delegates and answer a questionnaire seeking their opinion on a number of proposals and issues. Chief among them is a question gauging support for making trolling with one line legal statewide, expanding trout fishing season and consolidating turkey, pheasant, duck, trout and salmon stamps into one stamp. Attendees also will get an update on Department of Natural Resources' deer management changes.
The Conservation Congress uses the questionnaire to advise the DNR on policy changes.
The congress is being held here in Clark County on April 14th at the Greenwood High School in the cafetorium
