Fairchild and Augusta Fire Departments Respond to Grass Fire

The Fairchild and Augusta Fire Departments responded to a grass fire Saturday afternoon.

The fire occurred near County Highway M and Center Road.  It stretched across 5.5 acres.  The DNR arrived around 2:15pm and around 35 people helped fight the fire.

The fire was contained within half an hour and the cause is not yet known.  The departments remind people to follow burning restrictions.
