-Things have improved in the state of Wisconsin when it comes to the supply and prices of propane.Tim Voigt, of Custom Heating and Cooling, talked about the types of assistance available for those that may need help after this harsh Winter.
Tim said, "The assistance comes in many forms. One would be "Keep Wisconsin Warm" and I compliment Governor Walker and his office because they did help relieve a lot of pain with the pricing. Of course, it could be better. I do know that the have a program now where you can get a very low interest loan to take care of fuel prices and relieve the burden that's been brought to people. Again, it's a thing that we're all in together and we have to make the best of it. But, we're going to continue to update people as we learn more about it."
Mr. Voigt also wanted to stress the fact that this was an unusual and rare situation we faced this past Winter and if people have questions, please feel free to call. Communication is the key in situations like this.
Tim said, "I understand that people are going to look at this and think we're going to need to make drastic changes because of the fact that this happened. I don't think it's a thing where everybody has to go out and make drastic changes and spend a bunch of money on alternative fuel sources. I'm not saying that they shouldn't look into those types of things, but, again, we were pretty reassured that this was not going to happen again. It was 1 out of 45 years. So I just want people to, please, remain calm and call anytime you have questions, whichever LP supplier you have, because everyone does a nice job of taking care of their customers. It's just a good thing to keep communicating."
Mr. Voigt strongly urges those that may have been greatly impacted by the propane shortage to look into heating assistance.
