Security Health Names New Director

Josh A. Weisbrod has been named director of government programs at Security Health Plan of Wisconsin, Inc.Weisbrod comes to Security Health Plan from the state?s Health Insurance Risk-Sharing Plan, where he served as director of operations, overseeing an insurance plan with more than 25,000 members. In recent months, as the HIRSP program prepared to end, Weisbrod helped transition HIRSP members into private insurance plans to prevent any gap in coverage.
?HIRSP was basically operated much like a private, nonprofit health insurance company.? Weisbrod said. ?We ran a $250 million, 25,000-member health plan, which I?m proud to say, was one of the top three in the nation.?
In his new position Weisbrod will provide overall product management, revenue management and administration to Security Health Plan?s government program sector, including Advocare, its line of Medicare Advantage plans; and BadgerCare Plus, its Medicaid plan.
