Volunteer General Manager of The Highground Receives Jefferson Award

-Kirk Rodman, Volunteer General Manager of The Highground recently received the Jefferson Award.He was nominated for his continuing volunteer efforts at The Highground Veterans Park in Neillsville. Rodman was chosen, received a beautiful award and was interviewed at The Highground by Channel 9. His interview aired on March 6.
Kirk is the Volunteer General Manager for The Highground. During his tenure, the Veterans Park has added many new venues. Included in the new additions is a Tribute for the Korean War, a Meditation Garden, a Timberframe building to shelter the Liberty bell, a pavilion with flying canopies, a Learning Center, and on the walking trails a handi-capped accessible tree house. Currently under construction is the Wisconsin Persian Gulf Tribute and plans are underway for a Military Working Dog Tribute.
Kirk and his wife, Nancy, have been involved at The Highground for the past 15 years and they were instrumental in changing The Highground into a manned Veterans Park that is open 24/7/365 with staff on-site every day 10am-5pm.
