Neillsville City Council: Public Works Update
Saturday, March 15th, 2014 -- 7:39 AM
Some final items from the public works portion of the Neillsville City Council Meeting on Tuesday. The public works department had a meeting with Mathy Construction Hydrologist a few weeks ago, talking about the city?s wells and the model study the completed. The end result is that Neillsville?s wells are in great shape and should last the city many years into the future. However, they did not find another location suitable for a well with the pumping capacity that is required. The public works department will continue to meet with Mathy to keep an eye on the mining going on around the wells.
T
he city crew members also took part in a first aid and CPR training course, continued ongoing equipment maintenance and clean up the snow and ice. It was also mentioned that the city has had a few sewer laterals freeze up in area where they don?t receive a lot of use. Unfortunately, nothing can be done with those as of now.
