Stratford Man Sentenced for Drowning Death

-A Stratford man has been sentenced for causing the death of his friend.32-year-old William Bowden was charged with OWI and more after he and his friend, 34-year-old Timothy Spindler, were ice fishing on the Eau Pleine Reservoir when their vehicle broke through the ice. Bowden escaped, but Spindler drowned in the incident.
In a plea deal, Bowden agreed to plead guilty to the OWI charge and several others were dismissed and read into the record.
Bowden will spend 3 years in prison and have 3 years of extended supervision after.
