Clark County Schools Forum, Final
Saturday, March 8th, 2014 -- 3:30 PM
The Clark County Schools Forum was held at Owen-Withee on Monday evening. One reason this forum was held was to allow the local school district's administrators and board members work towards achieving their SMART Goals. One of those goals, was having direct contact with their legislators. Newly elected Representative of the 69th District, Bob Kulp of Stratford, was on hand to hear the concerns of the administrators and board members and offer his thoughts.
Those present talked about a wide variety of topics with Representative Kulp. Representative Kulp said that he agreed with Governor Walker's tax cut plan because it would help create a more vibrant economy. There was also agreement from those present on the bill that would give districts more flexibility on the 180 school days requirement. Finally, they talked about Whole Grade Sharing and the partnerships being built between schools and tech colleges.
The Clark County Schools Forum had administrators and board members from many local schools including Abbotsford, Loyal and Owen-Withee.
