Clark County Schools Forum, Part 4
Friday, March 7th, 2014 -- 11:33 AM
-The Clark County Schools Forum was held at Owen-Withee on Monday evening. One reason this forum was held was to allow the local school district?s administrators and board members work towards achieving their SMART Goals. One of those goals, was having direct contact with their legislators. Newly elected Representative of the 69th District, Bob Kulp of Stratford, was on hand to hear the concerns of the administrators and board members and offer his thoughts.
Those present talked about a wide variety of topics with Representative Kulp. They talked about school vouchers and charter schools. Many present at the meeting said they wouldn?t be against vouchers as much if those schools had the same level of accountability as public schools do. Representative Kulp agreed with everyone on the fact that education should be kept as close to the parent and child as possible.
The Clark County Schools Forum had administrators and board members from many local schools including Neillsville, Colby and Greenwood.
