Pittsville Man Pleads Not Guilty to Standoff

-A Pittsville man has pleaded not guilty to firing a gun and causing a standoff with the Wood County Sheriff?s Department.Back in February, 26-year-old Randall Bakken fired a rifle at a residence in Pittsville, lead authorities on a chase after leaving the residence, and then got out of his vehicle and had a standoff with authorities before finally surrendering.
Bakken has been charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm, failure to comply with an officer, carrying a concealed weapon, resisting an officer and disorderly conduct, all as a repeat offender.
Bakken remains in jail on a $3,500 cash bond and he will appear in court again in April.
