Neillsville School Board Hears Administrator's Reports

-The Neillsville School Board heard the Administrator?s Reports at their meeting last week.Elementary Principal Tim Rueth reported on attendance, a 2nd grade class trip to Family Health Center - Neillsville Dental Center, the Clark County Health Department?s Seal-A-Smile Program, the upcoming parent-teacher conferences, a teacher in-service day and K4 and K5 registration information.
High School Principal Craig Anderson reported on attendance, a 7th & 8th grade class field trip to Bruce Mound, an 8th grade high school scheduling meeting, the Academic Letter Ceremony scheduled for March 5th and an open campus update.
Finally, District Administrator John Gaier reported on a thank you note from the Joy Abel family, the passing of former district employee Bob Ratsch, the open campus permission form, a USDA Distance Learning Grant, the upcoming Clark County Schools Forum, CVTC board vacancies, an email from Representative Bob Kulp, a letter from Tony Evers, a bill to change the current school funding system, a letter from Senator Paul Farrow, an email about Cloverbelt Conference membership, two articles regarding school choice, a letter from the U.S. Department of Education, an article on the common core, two Focus articles, SAA articles on Senate Bill 589 and Assembly Bill 379, Journal Sentinel and LaCrosse Tribune articles on school accountability, a statement by Senator Kathleen Vinehout, Wisconsin State Journal articles on academic standards and rural schools, a Tomah Journal article on common core and a Channel3000.com article on Senator Dale Schultz.
