-The Clark County Board of Supervisors approved a resolution and the final reading of two ordinances at their meeting Wednesday evening. The board approved a resolution that would exempt two county departments from a State Audit Mandate for Contracted Services.
The Department of Social Services and the county?s Community Services are required to submit an audit report for all Health and Human Service?s Purchases of Service Contract vendors that are paid more than $25,000 per year. Social Services contracts with 20 vendors paid between $25,000 and $75,000 and it costs $140,000 to perform those audits. The county asked to be waived from the audit for any vendor that exceeds $75,000.
The board also approved the final ordinances regarding county board rules and county committee rules. A third ordinance was removed from the agenda to give the Law Enforcement Committee time to review.
