51st Eau Claire Farm Show, Part 2

-North Country Enterprises is hosting the 51st Eau Claire Farm Show on March 4th and 5th at Eau Claire?s Indoor Sports Center.I spoke with Steve Henry, of the family owned North Counrty Enterprises, and he said the Farm Show is the second longest running and has been called, ?the granddaddy of farm shows.?
Mr. Henry talked about the winner of the 25th Annual ?Aggie Award.? Karyn Schauf of Barron was selected as the winner of the award this year. Miss Schauf was also Alice in Dairyland in 1977. She will be presented her award at 11am Tuesday morning.
Some other events include an FFA Silent Auction, a Wisconsin wildlife show by Chris Cold including ?live? critters at 11AM and 1PM daily, and the display of a chainsaw-carved wooden bench by Craig Syryczuk of rural Thorp.
Some 300 company employees representing some of the nation?s top farm equipment manufacturers and distributors will be on-hand as well to demonstrate new products.
Also, one program in particular that Mr. Henry was very happy about is the free health clinics offered during the farm show.
