Human Remains Located in Wood County

Friday, March 12th, 2021 -- 2:00 PM

Over the past two days investigators from the Wood County Sheriff’s Department, Marshfield Police Department and Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation have located human remains.

The remains were found in the area of Patton Drive/Fairhaven Avenue in the Township of Rock in Wood County.  The Wood County Coroner is assisting with the investigation.  Officials believe this is related to the Zach Vasa missing person investigation.

This is an ongoing investigation and the human remains have not been identified yet.  The area will be closed to the public during the investigation.
