Neillsville Schools Set 2014-15 Calendar

The Neillsville School Board discussed the 2014-2015 School Calendar.District Administrator, John Gaier sat down with the administrators from four other districts to come up with similar calendars. All in all, next year?s calendar looks to be very close to this years.
One note that Gaier made was that they are considering eliminating some, but not all, full teacher in-service days and replacing them with late start days. These late start days could potentially replace the early release days the district has because many students need to return to school for practices or games anyway.
A discussion was had on whether teachers could get the same benefit out of a late start as they do a full in-service day, which the district will be resurching further.
In the end, the board did approve the next school year?s calendar, but were told to expect changes which will be brought before them.
