Changing Handbook Language Discussed at Greenwood School Board Meeting

-Policies and changing school handbook language was discussed at the Greenwood School Board meeting on Monday.The board approved the second reading of the Electronics Policy which will now be e-mailed to all faculty members.
For the Volunteer Policy, the first sentence under the Volunteer Definition part of the policy was replaced with ?A volunteer is defined as any individual that volunteers their time in any capacity with the students of the School District of Greenwood. The individuals do not receive compensation for his/her services.?
Finally, in the teacher handbook, regarding the school calendar, under the 190 teacher contracted days, it includes 4 in-service days and 2.5 records day. The language was changed to read: ?6.5 days to be used as in-service or records days during the school year.? This change was approved.
