(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -Monsanto is donating over $37,000 to 15 Wisconsin FFA chapters this year as part of its 'America's Farmers Grow Communities' program.According to the Wisconsin Ag Connection, the company says the funding will impact over a thousand FFA students in the state, allowing chapters to engage in unique opportunities in ag education such as purchasing equipment for hydroponics systems and crop test plots, as well as sending students to conventions, paying for end-of-year banquets, and more.
Some local Wisconsin chapters receiving donation money include Loyal and Osseo-Fairchild. The Medford FFA Alumni affiliates were also included in the list of recipients.
Grow Communities has supported FFA chapters by allowing farmers to direct more than $1.8 million to individual FFA chapters since 2010. This year, 202 FFA chapters are receiving the $2,500 donation, totaling more than half a million dollars.
