44th Annual Neillsville Winter Carnival, Part 3

-The 44th Annual Neillsville Winter Carnival is happening this week.Deanna Heiman, Executive Director of the Neillsville Chamber of Commerce, talked about some of the events returning to this year?s carnival.
"Saturday's events kick off at 10am with co-ed volleyball at Schuster Park and the Women's Pool Tourney to be held at local taverns and the American Legion," said Deanna. "The 1897 Clark County Jail Museum will be hosting a City of Neillsville old picture day from 10am to 4pm on Saturday."
"Registration for the popular Polar Bear Plunge begins at 11:30am with plunging starting at noon at North Side Pond near Listeman Field," Deanna continued. "The Neillsville Country Club is hosting the dart tournament at 1pm on Saturday and the Dirty Clubs Card Tournament starts at 2pm at the Legion, followed by a Cribbage Tournament at 6pm also at the Legion."
Moving on to Sunday, Deanna said, "Sunday begins with a tasty pancake breakfast at the Legion from 8:30 to noon. The Men's Pool Tourney kicks off at 10am at local taverns and the Legion, followed by the annual trophy trap shoot at the Neillsville Gun Club at 11am."
"Thanks to Mother Nature," said Deanna, "we will have conditions favorable for hockey this year, which hasn't always been the case at Winter Carnivals in the past. The Neillsville Youth Hockey Team will face Marshfield at O'Neill Arena starting at noon on Sunday."
