-A Medford woman had an initial appearance in Taylor County Court on Tuesday after she left her pets behind when she moved to her new home.29-year-old Callie Neuman left a dog and two cats behind because she couldn?t bring the animals to her new house.
An officer discovered the animals after a neighbor called the police saying he could hear a dog continuing to bark at the home. Officers said there was feces, urine and garbage all over the house. The animals were taken to a humane society and deemed to be healthy overall.
Neuman has three misdemeanor charges of failure to provide food for an animal filed against her. She did enter a not guilty plea during her appearance Tuesday and she has a $500 signature bond set against her. If she?s convicted she could face two years in prison.
