-(Marshfield News Herald) -An investigation into allegations the Colby School Board violated the state?s open meetings law has been completed by the Clark County Sheriff?s Department.According to the Marshfield News Herald, Clark County District Attorney Lyndsey Boon Brunette said she will take the next week or two to review the investigation?s findings before making a determination of whether district officials violated the law when discussing alleged misconduct by a School Board member.
The investigation came after Rick Weber filed a complaint over what he believed to be violations of the state?s open meetings law when the School Board discussed potential misconduct of a board member during its December meeting.
Weber is a former member of the Colby School Board and a candidate in this year?s election. Two seats are open, with one incumbent and two prior School Board members running.
