Neillsville Woman Sentenced for Attempted Homicide

A Neillsville woman was sentenced in Clark County Court for stabbing her ex-boyfriend.
According to her court records, back in October of 2019, Shannon Liddell stabbed her ex-boyfriend after she caught him with another woman. Liddell believed she and her ex-boyfriend were married because they had performed a pagean ritual called handfasting. Liddell stabbed her ex-boyfriend and the woman that he was with.
During a court appearance in December of last year, she pleaded guilty to 1st degree intentional homicide. Several other charges were dismissed and read in. She was sentenced to 6 years in prison and 7 years of extended supervision.
