A Presentation from BLAST Team Starts Granton's School Board Meeting

-The Granton School Board started their meeting on Monday with a presentation from the district?s BLAST Team.The BLAST Team provided information to the school board regarding their spring program which will center around the dangers of distracted driving.
The board also Sapproved the second reading of school board policy Chapter 9, Sections J?R, the first reading of school board policy chapter 10, Sections A-I and approved the CESA 10 Service Contract for 2014-2015.
In employment matters, the board approved a teaching contract for Noah Werner who will be teaching Middle and High School Tech. Ed, accepted the resignation of Renae Lubke effective at the end of the school year and approved shared teacher agreements with Neillsvile for an Instrumental Music Teacher, Loyal for a Vocal Music Teacher and Loyal for a Family and Consumer Education teacher.
Finally, the board approved to offer summer school and a summer swimming program for 2014. Summer school will start June 11th. They also approved a staff request for maternity leave and approved the purchase of a new washing machine.
