Neillsville Chamber of Commerce Recognition Banquet, Part 8

-The Neillsville Chamber of Commerce held their recognition banquet at the Neillsville American Legion.Dr. Greg Foster, the presenter of the awards, named the businesses that celebrated an anniversary in 2013. Ratsch Engineering Company, Ltd. was honored for 35 years of service.
"Our next longevity award is for 35 years in business and this goes to Ratsch Engineering," said Dr. Foster. "In 1978, Russell and Judy Ratsch established an architectural engineering firm in an office in their home. They relocated the business to downtown Neillsville in 1985 and Ratsch Engineering company settled into its currently location on Hewitt Street in 1989."
Russell Ratsch were very pleased to accept this award.
Russell said, "I'd like to thank the chamber for this recognition. I'd like to thank the Neillsville community. It's been a good place to raise a family, good place to establish and maintain a business. I'd also like to thank my family for their support and understanding over the years for the long hours, night meetings and so on. 35 years passes quickly. It passes one day at a time, one project at a time. Over the years, it amounts to about a 1,000 or so various building projects. However, as time passes, it become time to pass the mantle. As it was mentioned, Henry has been my partner for about 4 years. And in a little over a year, he'll be taking over."
