Listening Session With Representative Bob Kulp, Final
Wednesday, February 12th, 2014 -- 1:14 PM
-Representative Bob Kulp discussed many topics during a listening session held in Marshfield recently.Representative Kulp finished off his session by talking about the work ethic in our area.
Representative Kulp said, "It ultimately boils down, as I mentioned, to a cultural thing. I have roofing contractor friends from all around the country who talk about the upper mid-west workforce being phenomenal compared to the other parts of the country. I've said for 15 years, that if I get within 500 miles of the cost, I can't bank on it that my McDonald's order is going to be filled the way I ordered it. In Wisconsin we just don't have that because we've had historically strong families. Strong values. Good work ethic. I tell my roofing contractor friends in other parts of the country how we operate and they're like 'wow, you must be in Norman Rockwell's America!'
Representative Kulp is a business owner in Stratford and was elected to replace Scott Suder at the end of last year after his resignation.
