Listening Session With Representative Bob Kulp, Part 11

-Representative Bob Kulp discussed many topics during a listening session held in Marshfield recently.Representative Kulp talked about manufacturing jobs in the state and Governor Walker?s job promise.
Representative Kulp said, "One of the things that makes Wisconsin uniquely different is that we are number 1 in manufacturing jobs per capita. So we have more manufacturing jobs per person than any of the other states. Sometimes when people point to our lagging economic recovery, they forget to mention that that's the case. As you know, manufacturing has taken a hit over the last five or six years. Often times the Governor is given a lot of problems for not creating the 250,000 jobs that he promised that he would create. That was a goal. Not necessarily a 'if he doesn't do it, he's going to whatever.' You got to set a high goal. But, that's one of the dynamics we have is in manufacturing, we are that heavily tilted in manufacturing."
Representative Kulp is a business owner in Stratford and was elected to replace Scott Suder at the end of last year after his resignation.
