Edgar Teen Sentenced for Accident Northeast of Stratford

-An Edgar teen was sentenced in Marathon County Court on Wednesday for an accident he caused that sent him and two of his friends to the hospital.Back in May of last year, 17-year-old Nathan Koller of Edgar was driving down County Highway M, northeast of Stratford, with two friends, when he lost control of the vehicle. Speed and alcohol were factors in the incident and none of the teens were wearing a seatbelt.
Koller was airlifted to Ministry St. Joseph?s Hospital in Marshfield where he spent some time in a coma and had to have his broken back mended. His passengers, 18-year-old Cody Wallis of Marshfield and 18-year-old Kayla Burtch of Stratford were hospitalized for minor injuries.
Koller was sentenced to five days in prison and will be on probation for one year. It he successfully completes his probation he can have this incident expunged from his record.
