Logging Equipment Fire in Jackson County

-The Black River Falls Fire Department was paged for a logging processor fire on Wednesday afternoon.The fire occurred on Wyman Lake Club Road off of Hwy 12 in the Township of Millston.
According to the department, when they arrived at the fire, the found a Feb Tech 120 with heavy fire involvement. The equipment wasn?t near any structures. The operator of the equipment said he saw smoke coming from the engine and discovered the unit was on fire.
The cause of the fire isn?t known and the damage estimate is $40,000. No one was hurt in the incident and the equipment is owned by Todd?s Tree and Shrub Service in Tomah.
