Marshfield Students Returning to Every Day Instruction
Thursday, March 11th, 2021 -- 10:01 AM
(WDLB) When middle and high school students in the Marshfield School District come back from spring break next month, they will be returning to every day instruction.
According to WDLB, Superintendent Dr. Ryan Christenson told the Board of Education last night those students will be back in their classrooms every day starting Monday, April 5.
Dr. Christenson noted face-covering requirements and social distancing rules will remain in place. He said a lot of work has gone into the logistics of sending kids back to school every day, including accommodations for busing and added lunch periods.
Dr. Christenson also said the current scheduling models and what the district calls "reinforcement days" will remain in use for the remainder of the school year.
"Reinforcement days" are those days on which the students are doing at-home learning while teachers are in school going through professional development and getting caught up.
Christenson also said the first doses of the Moderna vaccination will be administered to Marshfield teachers who want one beginning March 16. Christenson said the second doses of the vaccine will be administered in mid-April.
