-Alice in Dairyland, Kristen Olson paid a visit to Loyal and Greenwood on Wednesday.Kristen is touring the county is preparation for the 67th Alice in Dairyland Finals being held in Clark County on May 15th through the 17th.
Kristen?s first stop was at the Loyal City Hall where she participated in the Barn Quilt ?Learn to Make it Event.? Barn Quilts are designs, like quilt patterns, that are put on to sheets of plywood and hung on barns, garages, or any available structure. Kristen made a special, 66th Alice in Dairyland barn quilt to remember her time in the county and her time as Alice.
From there Kristen made her way to the Marshfield Clinic?s Rural Greenwood Branch and met Dawn Decker the Operations Manager at the Greenwood Branch. Kristen spoke with the wonderful staff at the Clinic and took a tour of the facility, learning a lot of new things as this was the first time she had toured a clinic. The staff informed her on how much they love working in a small, rural facility.
Finally, Kristen headed back to Loyal to speak with Mr. Matt Reinders 7th grade Introduction to Agriculture Class to, of course, talk about Wisconsin Agriculture. She also took some photos with the Loyal FFA.
