Medford Man Arrested After Standoff With Authorities

-A Medford man has been arrested after a standoff with the Taylor County Sheriff?s Department and multiple other agencies.According to the Taylor County Sheriff?s Department, they received a report around 12:45pm on Tuesday about a man with a long gun. The man entered a residence and fired the weapon through a window.
After authorities arrived a one hour standoff ensued. Authorities were able to make contact with the man, identified as 42-year-old Timothy Phillips of Medford. He said he was going to commit suicide by cop.
Finally, authorities persuaded him to come out of the home, drop the weapon and surrender. Phillips was arrested, but no charges have been filed at this time.
