Donations and Employment Matters Discussed at Greenwood School Board Meeting

-Donations and employment matters were discussed at the Greenwood School Board Meeting on Monday.The district received a Donation from US Bank for the Spiech Scholarship. $1585.50 went towards the bleachers like last year and the Ara Standiford estate gave 2 donations in the amount of $376.16. One went to the music department and the other to the athletic department.
Westland Insurance donated $100 and $50 went to the high school activity account and $50 to the elementary activity account. The Methodist Church in Loyal donated gloves and hats, Cummins in Neillsville donated gloves and hats and Midway Steele gave $154 in donations for HR Plates and Sheet Drops.
Finally, the Tri County Retired Educators Association donated backpacks and school supplies.
The board approved several contracts including Kent Hinker as the Baseball Varsity coach, Kevin Lucas as the Baseball JV/Assistant coach and Amanda Knecht as the Middle School Forensics Instructor. Also, Administrators Jean Zimmer, Todd Fischer and Jennifer Vogler all had their contracts renewed.
Finally, the board approved the resignation of Jeff Trunkel as the football coach and all the volunteers were approved.
