CESA 10 Contract, Band Uniforms and More at the Owen-Withee School Board Meeting

-The CESA 10 contract, band uniforms and more was discussed at last week?s Owen-Withee School Board Meeting.The Board unanimously approved the CESA 10 contract for the 2014-15 school year. The District purchases services in the areas of Business Services, Tech Ed. services, Facilities Management, Instructional Services and Special Education. The cost of purchasing these services is $191,094.
Mr. Gutsch and members of the band made a presentation to the Board at the December meeting regarding the purchase of new band uniforms. The band asked the Board to lend financial support to the project. The Board unanimously approved allocating 50% of the funds needed, which comes to $7500, with the band paying the other half through fund raising. The District dollars will come from the gift fund and no budget dollars will be used for the project.
Finally, the Board unanimously approved hiring Dan Stratton as the head track coach for the 2014 season. Dan, who has more than 20 years of track coaching experience, is recently retired from teaching in the Stratford School District.
