Stratford Man Cited for Striking Train, 3rd Car vs. Train Crash in Marshfiled Within a Month

-A Stratford man was cited for striking a train in Marshfield Wednesday afternoon.According to the Marshfield Police Department, 22-year-old Benjamin Schoenecker was trying to make a left turn from Maple Avenue onto Veterans Parkway when his truck was hit by a train heading west.
Witnesses of the incident said that all the lights and traffic control arms were working at the time of the incident. Schoenecker fled the scene after the accident, but he was located a short time later and cited for failure to report an accident, failing to obey posted traffic signs and displaying an unauthorized registration plate on his pickup truck.
This is the third collision that has occurred between a train and vehicle in Marshfield all within less than one month of each other.
On December 20th, a 58-year-old woman?s car was hit by a train at the same intersection and on January 5th, a 48-year-old woman?s vehicle was struck by a train at the intersection of Central Avenue and Veterans Parkway.
