Jackson County Man Officially Charged for Stabbing

-A Jackson County man has been officially charged for a stabbing that occurred on New Year?s Day.On Wednesday night of January 1st, Jackson County Sheriff?s Deputies responded to the Whispering Pines Tavern on South Prairie Road around 8pm.
Reports said that there was a fight happening and when the department arrived they found 44-year-old David Peterson of Osseo receiving treatment from emergency responders. Peterson had been stabbed in the abdomen, but the wound was non-life threatening.
36-year-old Richard West had allegedly stabbed Peterson with a pocket knife and had left the tavern after the incident. He was found at his home on West Hillcrest Road, arrested and taken to jail.
West has been charged with aggravated battery and disorderly conduct. He will appear in court on the 21st of this month.
