Clark County Board of Supervisors Approves Final Reading of Ordinance

-The Clark County Board of Supervisors approved the 3rd and final reading of an ordinance dealing with disposing of items in the Clark County Sheriff?s Department?s possession.The ordinance gives the department the ability to dispose of items in their possession that is not subject to a criminal investigation. That would include items like totaled vehicles from accidents. This passed with all 27 voting yes and 1 voting no.
The board also heard a presentation from Clark County Emergency Management Director John Ross. He talked with them about the issues that emergency management services in the county are having with their communications system, the fact that a study is being conducted to help answer some questions that arose from a previous study and where the county may go in the future regarding the communications system.
