-Wisconsin's unemployment rate dropped slightly to 6.3 percent in November. The state Department of Workforce Development reported Thursday it's the state's lowest seasonally adjusted rate since December 2008.
The unemployment rate in October was 6.5 percent. A year ago, it was 6.7 percent.
The national unemployment rate was 7 percent last month.
The state Department of Workforce Development reports the addition of 4,000 private sector jobs from October to November.
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported earlier this week that Wisconsin's private-sector job growth lags other states. The bureau says nearly 24,000 private-sector jobs were added in Wisconsin between June 2012 and June 2013, for a growth rate of 1 percent. That is about half of the national growth rate of 1.9 percent.
