Final Items from Neillsville City Council Meeting

-Here are some final items from the Neillsville City Council Meeting held on Tuesday of last week.Deanna Heiman, Executive Director of the Neillsville Chamber of Commerce, talked with the council on things happening in the city. She discussed the Chamber?s successful tree lighting, despite the cold temperatures, and thanked all the businesses that donated for the event.
She also mentioned that the Neillsville Improvement Group will be working with place making after the 1st of the New Year. Melissa Kono, CNRED Agent for Clark County, will be spearheading the initiative.
She also mentioned several positive changes happening with businesses in the City of Neillsville.
Finally, the council heard an Officer?s Report from Police Chief Brad Lindner. He said they are still citing the owner of the property that experienced a fire earlier this year; however, the individual has disappeared for the time being, but the department is still issuing citations and when they locate her, she will receive all of them. Chief Lindner also said they are in the final process of selecting a new officer.
