Neillsville City Council Hears Public Works Report

The Neillsville City Council heard the Public Works Report at their meeting on Tuesday.The usual amount of work was done in the city the past couple weeks including cemetery work, parks and equipment maintenance and clean up, snow and ice removal, installation of Christmas lights and banners and leaf and limb pick-up.
Director of Public Works, Dave Flynn, also said that the department had to fix a water main break this past Sunday morning on East 4th Street. And they are going into winter mode when it comes to cleaning off the sidewalks of homes.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation also adjusted the recall time at the stop lights for the Hewett and Division Street Intersection. They determined that by next spring another loop for controlling the signal may need to be installed.
The council also accepted a 3 year fuel bid from Kwik Trip which bid $.7 per gallon discount off the regular price for both regular unleaded gasoline and diesel fuel. Drescher BP and Heartland Co-op also submitted bids
