New Band Uniforms Discussed at Owen-Withee School Board Meeting
Thursday, December 12th, 2013 -- 8:15 AM
-The Owen-Withee School Board Members heard a presentation from the band class at their meeting on Monday evening.Mr. Gutsch and members of the high school band were on hand to make a proposal to the board regarding new band uniforms. Owen-Withee?s current uniforms are 30-40 years old and made of wool and leather. They are not quite a stylish as they were back in the 1970s.
Emily Christopherson led the presentation asking for assistance from the board, while presenting a number of fund raising options. Katherine Lampe and Frankie Monnier modeled the old uniforms while Jade Pinter wore a sample of the new uniforms.
The idea received strong support from board members. Mr. Gutsch will bring a proposal back to the Board in January with specific dollar amounts to discuss.
