Bob Kulp Sworn into Assembly

-Two Republicans who won special elections for the state Assembly have been sworn into office.Bob Kulp, of Stratford, and Jessie Rodriguez, of Franklin, joined the Assembly on Wednesday.
Kulp is taking the 69th District seat, covering most of Clark County and parts of Wood and Marathon Counties, which was vacated by former Assembly Majority Leader Scott Suder.
Bob said, ?As a business owner, I know the challenges that Wisconsin companies face. I?m excited to join the Assembly and get to work reducing the burdens on companies that keep them from thriving in our state.? After being sworn in, Rep. Kulp voted in favor of two special session bills that delay eligibility changes in the BadgerCare programs and extending coverage under the Health Insurance Risk-Sharing Plan.
Rodriguez is a school voucher advocate and is taking the 21st District seat vacated by Republican Mark Honadel.
Both Kulp and Rodriguez will serve the remaining 13 months of the term and will be up for election again in November 2014.
Republicans hold a 59-39 majority in the Assembly.
A third special election is scheduled for Dec. 17 for the seat vacated by Republican Jeff Stone, from Greendale.
