Final Items from Last Week's Owen City Council Meeting

-Here are several other items discussed at the Owen City Council Meeting last week.Some other items taken care of at the meeting include approving the Owen-Withee Police Service Agreement for 2014 for $58,250 with the changes. Also, Public Works Director, Gary Smith reported that the department has closed up all the park buildings and campground for the winter. They are working on getting the leaves out of the gutters and then they will sweep the streets.
A Pay Request to Staab Construction for $103,100 was approved, as was a contract to purchase 5 parcels including the wooden bridge from Wisconsin Central LTD and the contract for auditing services for the city was tabled.
Finally, it was reported that the roof project at the Mill Pond Park has been completed on the 3 buildings and the total came to $18,850 paid for by the Parks budget.
