Girl Not to Blame for Crash North of Augusta

-Authorities say a teenage girl is not at fault for the crash she was involved in north of Augusta on Monday night.According to the Eau Claire County Sheriff?s Department, 16-year-old Alexa Gutshall from Augusta was driving south on Highway 27 when she hit three cows that were loose on the highway. The girl then crashed into the side of a house.
Authorities say there were no text messages on the girl?s phone and she wasn?t speeding. The department said she isn?t to blame for the incident.
The girl was airlifted to a hospital in Eau Claire with a cracked jaw and broken tendon in her hand; however, she was back in school on Tuesday morning. The people inside the home were not hurt, but there is extensive damage to the vehicle and the home.
All three animals she hit were severely injured and had to be euthanized and the sheriff?s department is trying to figure out who owned the animals and why they were lose.
