Marshfield Apartment Fire May Be Arson

-A fire in a Marshfield apartment building early Monday morning is being investigated as arson.According to the Marshfield Police Department, they responded to a fire in the basement of an 8-unit apartment building just before 1am on Monday.
There was still smoke in the basement, but the property manager and a tenant had managed to extinguish the fire themselves. Evidence at the scene suggests that the fire was started intentionally.
Due to the quick work of the manager and tenant, the damage estimate is only about $500 as opposed to what it could have been had the fire spread.
The fire is under investigation and no further information is available.
