Monday, November 11th, 2013 -- 8:29 AM
-Memorial Medical Center held a meeting, on Thursday of last week, with area residents to receive feedback and input on different aspects of the hospital. This was but one of many different meetings that MMC has held with various church groups and civic leaders to talk about what the hospital is doing well, what needs improvement and where the facility is heading.
During the Thursday meeting, there were several groups that were asked questions such as what must a hospital/clinic have, what strengths does MMC have, what weaknesses does MMC have and what opportunities and threats apply to MMC?
Each group was then allowed to discuss what they thought applied and then told board members and employees of MMC that were present what they came up with. Ideas that were thought of regarding what they must have included having proper education and good part time experience, for strengths they are strong with customer service and are a major employer, weaknesses include problems with their switch board and with insurance providers and their opportunities include promoting their strengths and have threats with competition.
All of the information MMC has gathered will now be used going forward to create a plan of action for MMC and then implement it.
