Organic Valley Expansion Grant

Gov. Scott Walker says the state will spend $1.4 million on road construction to foster the expansion of Organic Valley in western Wisconsin.Organic Valley is the nation's largest processor of organic milk and markets products such as eggs, meat and juice as well. It is spending $25 million to expand its distribution center and build a new headquarters in Cashton.
The governor's office said Thursday in a statement that the project will add about 340 jobs at Organic Valley and indirectly support another 360 jobs.
The state grant will help Cashton pay for about $3.2 million in road work to support the expansion.
