Clark County Take Back Initiative on Saturday
Friday, October 25th, 2013 -- 9:22 AM
-The Clark County Take Back Initiative is happening Saturday Oct. 26th.This is the fifth time that Clark County has done this completely anonymous initiative and they have been hugely successful in the past.
Chief Deputy Jim Backus said that the initiative is an excellent way to get rid of unused prescription or over the counter drugs. Unused prescription drugs just thrown away in the trash can be abused or illegally sold.
This is a National event that different districts can get involved in by expressing interest with the Drug Enforcement Agency.
You can bring almost anything to the initiative, but there are a few things you can?t which include needles and inhalers. They'll even take liquid medicine as long as it's in the original container.
The initiative is happening at Marty's Foods here in Neillsville and at Scott and Lori's Family Foods in Owen from 10am to 2pm.
