Local FFA Students to be Recognized for Proficiency Awards

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) Hundreds of students will walk across the stage at the Wisconsin FFA Convention in Madison today to be recognized for their outstanding Proficiency Awards.

According to the Wisconsin Ag Connection, these members applied for the awards based on the work, time and money invested in their Supervised Agricultural Experience projects.

FFA members can be recognized in 45 different agriculturally related areas at the state level. This year's winners will be honored during the second general session of the convention.

Some local recipients include Brandon Jakobi of the Loyal FFA in Agricultural Services, Cortney Zimmerman of the Spencer FFA in Beef Production, Lauren Weigel of the Marshfield FFA in Diversified Agricultural Production, and Rhiannon Reimer of the Granton FFA in Vegetable Production.
