Five Students Attend Jackson County Tractor and Machinery Safety Class

Five students attended the annual Jackson County Tractor and Machinery Safety class at the Black River Falls High School June 15-17.
The diverse curriculum includes several guest speakers from the area. They included Durwood Amundson sharing accident stories; Sheriff Duane Waldera teaching about safe and legal operation of tractors on roadways; Deputy Kyle Nosbisch demonstrating first response and rescue basics and Chris Williams sharing information about older farm equipment.
Wood Sales and Service donated the use of a tractor and trailer for the driving component of the course. Course instructors were Mr. Brad Markhardt (Black River Falls Ag Ed Instructor), Ms. Jodi Meyer (Alma Center-Humbird-Merrillan Ag Ed Instructor), and Mr. Andrew Simon (Melrose-Mindoro Ag Ed Instructor).
