Missing Pilot Found Dead in Clark County

A missing plane and pilot was found after tips from the public to the Clark County Sheriff’s Department.
On June 30th at approximately 11:01 am the Clark County Sheriff Office dispatch center received a call for Clark County Deputies to respond to Curtiss for a report of a missing small aircraft and pilot.
The reporting party indicated the pilot left Curtiss around 4:30am on June 30th traveling to the New Richmond area. However, the aircraft and pilot never arrived.
The Clark County Sheriff’s Office was asking landowners to check their property for the missing aircraft and pilot. The Clark County Sheriff’s Office received several tips on the missing aircraft and pilot which led to its discovery northwest of Curtiss.
The pilot was its only occupant and was discovered deceased at the scene. The Sheriff’s and Coroner’s Office with officials from the FAA and the NTSB are continuing the investigation into the crash and death.
